Planted in 1895 next to the Seghesio home, the head pruned vines are meticulously maintained to produce a low yield of evenly ripe fruit. Made in small lots with punch-down fermentation, a 10 day maceration, and aged for 14 months in French and American oak (33% new wood). Donated to this tasting by Diane and Francis Capone.
