Al-Cantàra in Arabic means “bridge” which for us wants to symbolically connect art, wine and poetry. Al-Cantàra takes its name from the river that laps Contrada Feudo S. Anastasia, in the municipality of Randazzo (CT).
THEAl-Cantàra vineyards are located in Contrada Feudo S. Anastasia (SP 89) in the Randazzo area (Catania) at about 620 m asl, on an area of 20 hectares, 15 of which are planted with vines. The vines grown are native Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio and Carricante, whose vines date back to 1965 and which form the ampelography base of the Etna DOC, as well as other varieties such as Pinot Nero, Grecanico and Cabernet Sauvignon.
